Vibzy

A social app built the way we wanted one to work: what your friends actually posted, in the order they posted it.

What we left out

Every feed we use decides what we should have wanted to see. Vibzy does not: it shows what the people you follow posted, newest first, and stops there. That is a smaller idea than most social products chase, and it turned out to be the harder one to keep.

Media that behaves

  • Photos, video, voice notes and view-once media in chat
  • Long videos post a five-minute window of themselves — no re-encoding
  • Images served through Next.js image optimisation, sized to the device

A feed with no opinions

  • Chronological, from the people you follow — nothing reordered
  • Stories with a close-friends list that is enforced server-side
  • Postgres and Prisma underneath, with the follow graph indexed for it

Built twice, on purpose

  • A web app and a native iOS/Android app on one API
  • Live messages, typing and reactions over a realtime channel
  • One warm palette and typeface across both, so they read as one product

Designed, built and operated by Xeta

Vibzy is proof we ship real products.

Two people built and run all of it — the API, both apps, the infrastructure it sits on. It is the clearest answer we have to what we can do.
